The Labour Market and the Freddom to Make Ourselves

It is common to think that a capitalist market society allows for greater individual freedom. This is certainly so in certain areas, especially those related to the availability of commodifiable means to satisfy our desires. But the labour market is actually the strongest determinant of individuals that society has ever known. We are determined to make our lives so as to satisfy the desires of those who demand labour so that they will provide us with those material means. The labour market is the matrix of the contemporary "social unconscious"... it is also the cause of the existential crises that those who graduate from university (and those who enter it) go through...through the labour market, every aspect of our individuality is more socially intertwined than ever

Or better

the labour market (along with the delegitimization of all objectives in life not related to the attainment of commodifiable gains) acts as the main mechanism of socialization, and probably the most effective and tricky in all of human history... it compels you, under the threat of death by starvation or social exclusion at the least, to make yourself and your life in the way in which those that demand labour want it to be...it is the cause of the crises of those who graduate from university...they are the result of the contradiction of the individual will and a social fabric that intangibly determines you
